Hello fellow CPA's!
My name is Randall Stone. My professional background is in banking, investments, insurance, and public accounting. I have graduate degrees in both Accountancy (MAcc) and Taxation (MS Tax). During the summer of 2013, I also started coursework leading toward a PhD in Business Administration (concentration in Advanced Accounting). In addition, I also hold several professional certifications and designations: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
In 2012, I took a leap of faith, so to speak, and made the decision to change careers and enter the world of academia full-time. Although I am originally from Arkansas, I now teach accounting full-time at East Central University, a regional university located in south-central Oklahoma. Before starting work as an instructor at ECU, I also taught accounting courses full-time at Rose State College and part-time at the graduate level in accounting at National University.
My wife and I have no children currently, but we do have two dogs who act like unruly teenagers sometimes!
